Sorry, submissions are now officially closed for RED-themed poems and flash. We're switching up to the color VIOLET, the color and name of the New Jersey’s state flower and February’s birth flower to kick off 2024 and keep us thinking of spring through the New York and Paris wintertime. Think violets and pansies, and of Sigmund Freud’s The Interpretation of Dreams, Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze,” and Prince’s Purple Rain; condider the irony of Jesus’s crucifixation robe and the sapphic love of Édouard Bourdet’s The Captive — you get the drill.
Email your VIOLET submissions for the Rainbow Project (in the body of the email; no attachments, please, except for artwork, photographs, audio, and video) to submit[at]poetswearprada[dot]com. Please make only one submission for the current color. You can submit up to three works. If your submission is rejected, please wait for the next color before submitting again. Response is quick, and accepted work will go up daily on our blog and be considered for the forthcoming print anthology.
Reprints are fine as long as you include the publication credit. Translations are welcome.
